HERE'S A VIDEO PROCESS FOR THIS TUTORIAL: [link] :dummy:

EDIT: Dang, I forgot that I'd planned to add some tips with arrows. _^_ So here you are, updated version. xd

:phew: I have no idea how long time ago I started this tutorial, but nevermind, it's finally done xD Many people asked me how I make eyes look so "glossy", so I thought that it wouldn't hurt to make a tutorial. And if a tutorial then hey, why not a video too? :XD:

I really, really hope that you find it helpful! If you have any questions - feel free to ask! :meow:

Even though you have so clearly laid all of your steps out, I still think I'd never be able to replicate your results! xD

Awesome tutorial!

Except, will something like this work for GIMP?

it definitely should work in Gimp :) I'm not sure if Gimp has a "screen" layer mode though, but in this case any normal layer will do the very similar effect :>

Yeah I tried looking for the "screen" on the layer tabs and couldn't find anything. I'll try using several layers and see what comes up though.

I'm a traditional (non-digital) artist, and I still learned quite a bit from this. The small details like the deep red in the pupil and the eyelash shadows make this more than introductory material. Thanks for sharing!
